“ Tucked away italian restaurant on the rather quiet Iancu Capitanu street, with classic italian dishes you’ll find in Bucharest; had Cipollini soup, sea bass, salmon tartare, a small risotto and one salad — they were delicious; a signature dish is still missing from the menu; kind service; outdoor seating; almost decent prices; free street parking; didn’t try desserts, but they look appealing; ”
“ It was the best Italian restaurant I’ve even been to! The food is excellent! Pasta, appetitive and deserts are the most delicious ever. It was the first time when I also liked the red wine. I asked to suggest me something, and received the most gentle and fragrant red wine I’ve ever tried. The atmosphere is so relaxing and chill. Service is perfect. ”

Aaand the traditional dumplings, however they came with a surprisingly welcomed twist! Generously sized dishes and the owners and staff made us feel like home. The surprise came directly from the chef himself, who treated us both with a delicious desert - pear poached in wine with crème anglaise. On the house. Prices are far below the offering. As I said, excellent. Don't think twice, just go! ”

The service and guidance were excellent: when we had questions about the dishes, everything was explained to us patiently and knowledgeably. The filet was cooked to perfection – tender and full of flavor. The mashed potatoes were creamy and very well seasoned. The homemade pasta and the accompanying sauce were an absolute highlight – authentically Italian and prepared with great care and love. We were pleasantly surprised and, in hindsight, truly happy to have stumbled upon this wonderful Italian restaurant by chance while browsing online. Even though we visited at lunchtime, we could easily imagine how cozy and atmospheric it must be in the evening. We especially want to highlight the excellent value for money. During our stay in Bucharest, we had the chance to visit many restaurants, which gave us a solid basis for comparison – and Cipollini was definitely one of the best experiences! “ We had reservation for 3 people and we were showed in by a very nice and good-mannered lady from the restaurant staff. She also took care of our food orders and made well-thought suggestions to accommodate our requests (she is a real gem!). The food was finely cooked, tasty, with quality ingredients and swiftly served on the small terrace embellished with flower pots. Nice atmosphere with Italian music playing in the background :) ”

“ The place is nice, the food was good but not out of the ordinary.The service was great though, the staff was very friendly and nice, the food arrived quickly and the music was great...old italian music, played at a low level.We found parking very easily and close to the restaurant, but we went pretty late, during the day i think is more difficult. We enjoyed the food but we did not like the papanasi, even though the presentation is wonderful, the taste is weird.We appreciated the imagination and the desire to change the receipe in order to make it special, but the texture is just...mushy and tasteless.They were well baked but still felt like they weren't.And also, not sweet enough.Plus, in my opinion they don't work with jam and icecream, probably if you make it sweeter and add sour cream instead of icecream they would taste better.I liked the chicken liver foam though, it worked great with the sweet onion and the schnitzel with potatoes were also tasty. Overall we liked it, it's a quiet, neighbourhood restaurant, in a quiet area of the city.The terrace is pretty small and the tables are very close to eachother, so if you want to sit outside it's best to book a table and do not expect privacy.I didn't mind that but i had to mention it.The prices are fair.We plan to come back and taste the other dishes also. ”
